ETL Developer

About the role

NYC Government Client is seeking an ETL Developer for a hybrid position in Brooklyn, NY 11201, working 35 hours per week. Interviews will be conducted in person, and hybrid work is preferred with 3 days onsite. The role requires at least 10 years of experience as an ETL Developer.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex data pipelines to bring data into the Data Lake/Warehouse per business requirements.
• Design, implement, and continuously expand data pipelines by performing extraction, transformation, and loading activities.
• Design the architecture to perform data management activities, i.e., data extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) to enterprise data warehouse.
• Implement data management solutions using SQL, SQL procedures, and data management tools like Informatica IICS on Oracle Exadata database.
• Design the overall architecture to Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) data into data warehouse or data mart and data lake.
• Perform Oracle database full life cycle development including data modeling, database architecture, SQL and PL/SQL development, unit testing and support.
• Develop data models and ER diagrams for existing and new databases.
• Maintain and improve already existing processes.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience as an ETL Developer.
• Proficient in SQL and ETL processes, ETL and DB performance tuning.
• Expertise in PL/SQL Programming including Data Types, Cursors, Exception Handling, Collections, Merge statements, Analytics Functions, Views, Materialized Views, Table Functions, Stored procedures, Functions and Packages, database triggers, mutating, Dynamic SQLs, External Tables, Performance Tuning, Object Programming, built-in functions, joins, aggregate functions, and Collections.
• Working experience with ETL tool (Preferred - Informatica - IICS).
• Passionate about complex data structures and problem solving.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to pick up new data tools and concepts quickly.

Preferred qualifications

• Any experience in public safety systems is a plus.
