Etch Equipment Technician - Nights
About the Role
As a Samsung Austin Semiconductor Equipment Technician, you'll perform functions associated with all manufacturing and/or system operations, including working with engineers and manufacturing in set-up and calibration tasks, system support, preventative maintenance, failure analysis, documenting/following standard operating procedures, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the process and production of memory chips and logic.
You will use sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct in-line adjustments to products, instruments, equipment, or processes. You may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process while complying with all health, safety, and environmental management system guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Preventative Maintenance (PM)/Change Point Management (CPM)/System Maintenance: Follow standard operating procedures to ensure equipment/processes/systems run effectively.
- Troubleshooting: Conduct failure analysis and follow scripts to troubleshoot and anticipate future failures.
- Monitor Equipment/Process: Monitor equipment and processes in current state and proactively look for ways to improve processes.
- Collaborate on a dynamic team.
Requirements
- Any 2-year technical certification (TTI, ITT, Trade Cert, HVAC, etc); or 3+ ASE certs; or 4 years Semiconductor Technician experience (no cert, passes test); or 4 years equivalent technical Military service.
- Familiarity with SPC methods and implementation.
- Experience with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to quickly learn new systems and adapt to procedure changes.
- Strong communication, teamwork, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiar with TPM concepts.
- Attention to detail, task-oriented, and high value on customer service, teamwork, and flexibility.
- Ability to strictly adhere to SOPs.
- Ability to work off-hours if necessary.
- Electro-mechanical aptitude, basic understanding of hand tools, pneumatics, and electricity.
Pay
The current base salary range for this role is between $18.60/hour - $60.40/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications, and experience. Total compensation includes a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs based on organizational and individual performance.
Schedule
- B Shift: Sunday through Tuesday (6:45pm – 7:15am) with alternating Saturdays.
- D Shift: Wednesday through Friday (6:45pm – 7:15am) with alternating Saturdays.
