Estimator Specialist

Responsibilities

• Review specification and control schematics.
• Solicit pricing from subcontractors and equipment suppliers and follow up to obtain written quotes.
• Create detailed scope letters and proposals.
• Provide clear documentation on estimates and proposals.
• Provide accurate estimates and proposals.
• Partner closely with our operations and engineering teams to provide the best solutions and pricing.
• Assist with the selection of contractors.
• Qualify opportunities and assist to develop bid strategy.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3+ years of Sales, Building Automation, HVAC, and/or Controls experience
• Valid Driver’s License

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Business, or related discipline
• Ability to value engineer control designs with alternative solutions
• Experience with providing takeoffs of control schematics using software such as Bluebeam
• Experience with sales tools and software, such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and estimating software, Bid Tracer
• Experience in the Data Center Market
• Ability to solve moderate to challenging financial and accounting-related issues
• Strong skills in written and oral communication, analysis, organization, and time management
• Capable of building strong relationships with customers and coworkers
• Self-motivated and passion for continuous improvement
• Capability to perform in a fast-paced and changing environment
• Knowledge of how to present ideas and strategies clearly to diverse audiences, leadership, and decision makers

Pay

The annual salary for this position is between $79,000.00 - $158,000.00. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
