About the role

The Estimator prepares print and mailshop estimates based on project specifications from existing or prospective customers. This includes coordinating quote requests with external vendors to ensure accurate and timely submission of all client RFQs.

Responsibilities

• Maintains constant phone contact with vendors to secure timely project pricing and the best available rates.
• Prepares print and mailshop estimates within 24–48 hours of receiving project specifications, using samples, layouts, pricing schedules, historical data, and industry knowledge.
• Handles all necessary paperwork, including quotes, customer estimate forms, and management reports.
• Communicates effectively with sales, customer service, production managers, and other personnel to ensure proper project scheduling.
• Maintains organized print and mailshop files for easy reference by authorized team members.
• Stays current with pricing changes related to products, industry trends, and production methods to provide accurate customer pricing.
• Serves as backup for pre-press and customer service, and assists sales with additional customer-related tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Print/mailshop industry experience required.
• 4+ years of similar or industry-related experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in computer systems; detail-oriented.
• Ability to multitask, organize workflow, provide direction, and work as a team player.
