We are looking for a skilled Heavy Civil Estimator to join a growing self-performing contractor. This isn't your typical buttoned-up corporate setup. Qualifications
Growing industrial and heavy civil contractor with a multi-state footprint, delivering mass grading, underground utilities, site development, and industrial build projects for major manufacturing clients. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of project experience in sitework, roadway, or utilities, including 3-5 years of construction management or field supervisory experience.
Responsibilities
- Build and price bid estimates alongside the estimating team, then carry projects through to execution as the responsible PM for schedule, budget, safety, and quality
- Review proposal specs, drawings, and attend bid meetings to scope estimates; price assigned items directly in estimating software
- Build and maintain project schedules to hit milestones and critical path, then oversee execution through site supervision and subcontract management
- Direct project administration, superintendents, and engineers, setting priorities and holding teams accountable to safety, quality, and cost standards
Requirements
- 5+ years of project experience in sitework, roadway, or utilities required
- 3-5 years of construction management or field supervisory experience required
- Plan take-off and estimating software proficiency required
- Strong Excel/Word skills required
- Proven team-building and communication skills required
