Estimator - Multifamily - Canton, MA

We are partnering with a long‑established, values‑driven general contractor to hire an experienced Estimator capable of hitting the ground running. The Estimator will play a key role in pricing projects ranging up to $50M while supporting preconstruction efforts throughout Massachusetts and Connecticut. This is a fully in‑office role based in Canton, MA. Description Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and full bid packages across all major tradesDevelop conceptual, schematic, and design‑development estimates based on incomplete or evolving design documentsLead subcontractor outreach, prequalification, bid leveling, and scope reviewsBuild and manage full project budgets, clarifications, and assumptionsSupport value engineering efforts and provide cost‑saving alternatives to clients and design teamsCoordinate with architects, engineers, owner's representatives, and consultants during preconstructionReview drawings, specifications, addenda, and revisions to maintain accurate cost projectionsPrepare estimates for multifamily, adaptive reuse, historic renovation, and occupied rehab projectsDevelop detailed bid instructions and ensure subcontractors understand scope requirementsAttend site visits, pre-bid walkthroughs, and meetings with clients and design teamsMaintain historical cost data, subcontractor databases, and market pricing trendsSupport early logistics plans, phasing strategies, and site constraint analysis for occupied spacesCollaborate closely with Project Managers and leadership to transition estimates into active construction budgets Profile Mid‑level to senior estimating experience - able to "hit the ground running"Strong background in multifamily, renovation, adaptive reuse, or occupied‑space constructionProven experience developing full estimates from conceptual through GMPAbility to independently manage scopes, cost models, and subcontractor coordinationStrong analytical, technical, and organizational abilitiesProficiency with estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, On‑Screen Takeoff, Excel, or similar)Ability to work full‑time in the Canton office Excellent communication skills and the ability to represent the company professionally with owners and partners Job Offer Base Salary: $125K-$160K (depending on experience) Benefits Package: 75% company‑paid healthcare & dental401(k) with 100% match on first 3% + 50% match on next 2%PTO + 10 paid holidays annuallyAdditional Advantages: Collaborative, family‑oriented company cultureLong‑tenured staff and strong leadership supportStable pipeline of negotiated and repeat clientsOpportunity to support complex, high‑value projects up to $50M MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
