About the role

As an Estimator, you will evaluate bid specifications and drawings to ensure we know everything required to successfully bid and win projects. You will follow up with subcontractors to confirm bids are received and collaborate with Project Management teams to track bids and budgets, closing the business.

Success in this role requires producing highly accurate work in a timely manner, maintaining strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are essential, along with a strong understanding of and comfort working with numbers.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate bid specifications and drawings for underground cable projects.
  • Ensure all project requirements are understood for successful bidding.
  • Follow up with subcontractors to confirm bids are received.
  • Collaborate with Project Management teams to track bids and budgets.
  • Produce accurate and timely estimates.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering and 3–5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of both.
  • Estimating experience or exposure to the electrical/utility industry or data centers.
  • Valid driver’s license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven, with an acceptable driving record.
  • Solid Microsoft Office experience, with advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time.
