Estimator III

About the role

Join Boldt as an Estimator III and play a key role in delivering accurate, timely, and value-driven estimates that help set projects up for success. In this position, you will collaborate with clients, design teams, project managers, trade partners, and internal stakeholders to develop detailed estimates, cost models, and procurement strategies throughout the preconstruction process.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients, design teams, project managers, trade partners, and internal stakeholders to develop detailed estimates, cost models, and procurement strategies throughout the preconstruction process.
• Analyze drawings and specifications, perform quantity takeoffs, evaluate project risks and opportunities, and help guide budgeting decisions that support project goals.
• Lead estimating activities on assigned projects, support Target Value Design and design to budget initiatives, and help identify innovative solutions that maximize value for clients.
• Work alongside preconstruction and operations teams, manage bid solicitations, analyze subcontractor proposals, develop conceptual and detailed estimates, and support project transitions to the field.
• Serve as a trusted resource throughout the estimating process, mentor less experienced estimators, contribute to continuous improvement efforts, and help strengthen estimating best practices across the organization.

Requirements

• Four-year architecture, engineering, construction management or related degree required.
• 5-8 years of estimating experience required, conceptual estimating, and site and building system.
• Experience in Guarantee Maximum Price (GMP) as well as Lump Sum (Hard) Bid type of projects required.
• A strong understanding of excel spreadsheets, database-based software (WinEst), take-off software (On-Screen take-off) scheduling software (Microsoft Schedule, Primavera) is required.
• Intermediate experience in Microsoft O365 required.
• A valid driver’s license may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience developing business in healthcare or other highly regulated markets.
• Familiarity with healthcare systems and regulatory environments such as HCAI.
• Familiarity with BIM tools, such as REVIT, and/or Vico, is preferred.

Skills

• Intermediate experience in Microsoft O365.

Pay

The anticipated salary range for this position is $116,000.00–$153,000.00 annually. This information reflects the anticipated base salary for this position based on current market data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual’s skills, experiences, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
