Responsibilities
- Prepares timely and accurate bid estimates for medium to large sized projects/programs within an assigned line of business, Region or Division.
- Helps plan all projects with expectations for the efficient use of personnel, equipment, materials and subcontractors within contract requirements, time guidelines and other restrictions.
- Travels to job locations to confirm project site conditions.
- Led bid strategy and presentation discussions.
- Fulfills awarded contracts to monitor extra work items, procurement of material, credits, etc.
- Aids field personnel in developing and/or recommending change orders to scope as needed.
- Ensures that bid deadlines and customer presentation requirements are met.
- Proactively identifies and suggests solutions for known or anticipated construction problems to minimize cost and reduce risk.
- Provides insight to thought leadership in the continuous improvement of methodology, tools and approaches using fundamentals of H&M Project Management practices.
- Interfaces with various internal and external stakeholders on planning and scheduling related items and functions, including reporting requirements, progress reporting, complaint schedules, etc.
- Communicates with influence and presents effectively to client group and team members.
Qualifications
- Experience in estimating mid-scale projects and advanced knowledge of construction and utility industry practices.
- Experience with computerized bidding software and proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Completion of H&M PMM training and some formal Project Management coursework.
- Complex problem-solving skills.
- Minimum Educational Background: BS degree in Construction Management, Engineering, related field or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum Years Of Relevant Experience: 5+
