Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive, detailed project estimates for healthcare construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and other related costs.
- Utilize Destini estimating software to create accurate and reliable cost estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to understand project scope and requirements.
- Review and evaluate bids from contractors and suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance with project specifications.
- Prepare and present detailed reports and cost breakdowns to stakeholders, including project managers and clients.
- Continuously monitor industry trends and pricing to ensure the most accurate and up-to-date estimates.
- Participate in project meetings and provide insights and recommendations based on your estimation expertise.
- Work closely with the project management team during the construction phase to manage costs and mitigate potential financial risks.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of estimation and cost management processes and procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience as an Estimator, specifically in the Healthcare Construction industry.
- Proficiency in Destini or similar estimating software is a must.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills with an attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
- Able to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to secure the best prices and terms.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate potential issues and devise solutions promptly.
- A proactive and collaborative team player, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of healthcare industry regulations and standards related to construction is a plus.
