Estimator - Global Mega Projects
About the role
We are currently looking for an Estimator. Reporting to the Senior Estimating Manager, you will be responsible for collaborating with sales, project management and drafting to produce estimates and quotes from prints and design specifications within our target verticals of Data Center, Semiconductor Chip and advanced manufacturing construction.
Responsibilities
- Prepare estimates and written quotes from customer provided drawings/specifications that meet project requirements regarding materials, labor, and schedule including responsibility for Bill of Materials (BOM) and cost estimates.
- Read and understand construction drawings, details, and specifications.
- Work with sales team to develop a proper design, CAD sketch and solution for our customer.
- Cookordinate with outside engineers to stamp and seal submittal packages and manage vendors as necessary.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Construction Management or Engineering Related bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years of experience in an estimating role within the construction industry.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, Navisworks and /or Revit, Bluebeam and AutoCAD.
- Demonstrable problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
- Knowledge in MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) material and installation of services.
- Able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Qualifications
Within 3 months, you’ll:
- Complete your Atkore immersion program.
- Understand how your job will help deliver Atkore’s strategy.
- Manage customer files, coordinating and tracking recertification for all jobs.
- Gain an understanding of the training materials and procedures your team owns.
Within 6-months, you’ll:
- Update training materials and procedures.
- Analyze and compile data for labor and materials.
- Assist Project Manager with revisions to drawings and changes to quotes.
Within 12-months, you’ll:
- Conduct site visits to determine scope and accuracy of drawings documentation.
- Be responsible for material takeoffs.
- Manage multiple bid/estimate projects making certain estimates meet safety requirements.
- Prepare user manuals and certification documents.
Pay
A good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $60,480 - $83,160. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
