About the role
This role will have a strong focus on sales estimating, while also supporting production estimating, cost planning and BOQ preparation across a range of residential and multi-residential developments. You will be involved in tendering, pricing, preparing Bills of Quantities and managing more complex project-based work rather than standard house and land packages.
Responsibilities
- Prepare tenders and Bills of Quantities for multi-residential projects
- Support production estimating and cost planning processes
- Manage complex project-based work
- Collaborate with the project team to ensure accurate and timely delivery of estimates
- Ensure compliance with relevant building codes and regulations
- Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders
Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience in residential estimating, ideally with 10+ years across both sales and production estimating
- A strong background in sales estimating is essential
- Experience preparing tenders and BOQs
- Exposure to multi-residential projects is highly advantageous
- Strong attention to detail, commercial awareness and the ability to manage complex projects and deadlines effectively
Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in construction or a related field
- Knowledge of industry software such as Databuild and PlanSwift
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
- Commercial acumen and understanding of construction industry practices
