Job Details
- We’re looking for an Estimator who can own the preconstruction process from early budgeting through project award.
- This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-driven, and comfortable working in a deadline-focused environment.
- You’ll be responsible for reviewing plans and specifications, building accurate estimates, and collaborating closely with internal teams and subcontractors to ensure competitive, well-structured bids.
What you’ll be doing:
- Build and submit detailed project proposals including budgeting, scheduling, and execution approach
- Manage subcontractor invitations to bid (ITB) and relationships
- Perform scope takeoffs and subcontractor leveling
- Support project buyout and contracting post-award
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and evolving document sets (schematic → permit → construction)
- Identify and resolve cost discrepancies through data analysis
- Source and validate pricing for materials and systems
- Stay informed on market conditions and competitive pricing strategies
What you need:
- 3–5 years of construction experience (open to training high-potential candidates)
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with Procore, On-Screen Takeoff (OST), and BuildingConnected is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and on a team
