Estimator - Commercial Construction

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects, both lump sum and negotiated contracts.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to thoroughly understand project scope and identify potential risks or opportunities.
• Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure competitive and comprehensive pricing.
• Cook up close with Project Managers and Superintendents during pre-construction phases to ensure alignment of estimates with project execution.
• Maintain and build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring Osman Construction's ongoing reputation for fairness and excellence.
• Aid in project hand-off meetings, clearly communicating bid strategy, scope, and risk to the operations team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial construction estimating.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for cost estimation and analysis.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
