About the role
Established family-owned firm, 100+ years in the industry, is looking for an Estimator to join the Mechanical Division!
Responsibilities
- Leading development of mechanical estimates for water/wastewater projects
- Attending pre-bid meetings and coordinate with clients, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Quantifying labor, material, and equipment costs
- Evaluating subcontractor proposals and comparing scopes
- Developing bid schedules and monitoring bid progress
- Leading estimate reviews and project turnover activities
- Visiting job sites regularly to support estimating accuracy and maintain field knowledge
- Reporting to the Estimating Manager
- Working alongside Civil Estimator and Structural Estimator
- Supported by a Junior Estimator and Estimating Coordinator

- The Successful Applicant The Right Candidate Has The Following Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of process mechanical estimating experience in water/wastewater construction or related heavy civil infrastructure
- Mechanical estimating experience required
- Process piping, millwright, plumbing, pipefitting, industrial equipment, and water/wastewater experience preferred
Qualifications
- Self-perform process mechanical estimating experience
- Experience estimating: Process piping, Flanged ductile iron piping, PVC/CPVC piping, Stainless steel piping, Pumps, blowers, and treatment plant equipment
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
- Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
- OSHA 10, DOT Medical Card, Valid Drivers License
- Must pass background, MVR, and drug screen
