About the role

Established family-owned firm, 100+ years in the industry, is looking for an Estimator to join the Mechanical Division!

Responsibilities

  • Leading development of mechanical estimates for water/wastewater projects
  • Attending pre-bid meetings and coordinate with clients, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Quantifying labor, material, and equipment costs
  • Evaluating subcontractor proposals and comparing scopes
  • Developing bid schedules and monitoring bid progress
  • Leading estimate reviews and project turnover activities
  • Visiting job sites regularly to support estimating accuracy and maintain field knowledge
  • Reporting to the Estimating Manager
  • Working alongside Civil Estimator and Structural Estimator
  • Supported by a Junior Estimator and Estimating Coordinator

  • The Successful Applicant The Right Candidate Has The Following Qualifications:
    • 5-10 years of process mechanical estimating experience in water/wastewater construction or related heavy civil infrastructure
    • Mechanical estimating experience required
    • Process piping, millwright, plumbing, pipefitting, industrial equipment, and water/wastewater experience preferred

Qualifications

  • Self-perform process mechanical estimating experience
  • Experience estimating: Process piping, Flanged ductile iron piping, PVC/CPVC piping, Stainless steel piping, Pumps, blowers, and treatment plant equipment
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
  • Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
  • OSHA 10, DOT Medical Card, Valid Drivers License
  • Must pass background, MVR, and drug screen
