Responsibilities

  • Identify the scope of the project and the resources required to complete the job.
  • Perform property measurements to determine completion time, labor time, and billing.
  • Enter data accurately into computer landscaping software programs to prepare detailed landscape estimates.
  • Affix to assist in completing work proposals and bid forms.
  • Contact customers and/or vendors for additional information as needed.
  • Schedule site visits as required.
  • Meet deadlines in a timely manner.
  • Update bid documents and maintain office documents as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Adobe, AutoCAD, Plotting, or blueprints is a plus.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical functions.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to meet scheduled deadlines without sacrificing customer service or quality.
  • Ability to learn and retain a working knowledge of plants, trees, and industry-specific work materials.
  • Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to build and sustain positive working relationships with co-workers, office staff, vendors, and customers.
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of relevant software including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent planning and organizing skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Physical Requirements

  • This position is primarily sedentary and performed in an office environment.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
    • Sit for extended periods of time while working at a desk and computer.
    • Use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and standard office equipment.
    • Communicate verbally and in writing with employees, clients, and vendors.
    • Occasionally stand, walk, reach, bend, or lift office materials and supplies.
    • Lift and/or move items up to 15–25 pounds as needed (such as files, boxes, or office supplies).
    • Maintain focus and attention to detail in a fast-paced office setting.
