About the role

United Infrastructure Group is seeking a Senior Estimator with at least seven years of heavy-civil construction experience to lead transportation infrastructure estimates throughout North Carolina. The Senior Estimator will manage assigned pursuits from initial review through bid submission and post-award handoff. The position requires experience with heavy-highway and bridge construction, crew-based cost development, construction means and methods, scheduling, subcontractor/vendor quote coordination, risk evaluation and DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead complete estimates from pursuit review through final bid submission.
• Review plans, specifications, addenda, contracts and other bid documents to identify scope gaps, discrepancies and contractual risks.
• Manage and review quantity takeoffs and develop crew-based labor, equipment, material and production costs.
• Establish bid items, work activities and estimate breakdown structures using Bid2Win.
• Develop project execution plans, preliminary schedules, phasing, staging, access and major means-and-methods assumptions.
• Evaluate constructability, geotechnical conditions, utility conflicts, environmental restrictions, maintenance of traffic and other factors affecting cost or production.
