Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to join our team in Marlborough, MA. This is a full-time, on-site role.
Responsibilities
- Track projects for bidding and obtain bid documents
- Review drawings, specs, and contract documents
- Prepare labor and material estimates
- Develop detailed bid proposals and scope
- Clock in with internal teams (engineering, purchasing, production, field operations)
- Cook up estimates with supervisor before submission
- Document all internal and external communications
- Support contract negotiations and secure signed agreements
Requirements
- Minimum 2-year degree
- Preferred bachelor's degree in construction, Architecture, or Structural Engineering
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of architectural and structural concepts
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Project
- Experience with AutoCAD or BIM is a plus
- Strong organizational skills
- Reliable transportation for regional travel, including Connecticut
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of large commercial construction methods
- Experience with forecasting and reporting
- Familiarity with precast bridge construction
