Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing is seeking an Estimator for their client's team in California. This role is temporary but offers opportunities to contribute to important projects in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing project requirements and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Collaborating with project managers and engineers to gather essential project information.
• Reviewing and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Calculating material, labor, and equipment costs for project proposals.
• Aiding in the preparation of detailed project budgets and timelines.
• Maintaining up-to-date records of estimates, proposals, and project documents.
• Communicating with vendors and suppliers to obtain cost information and negotiate pricing.
• Supporting the project team in evaluating potential cost-saving measures.
• Ensuring all estimates align with company standards and project requirements.

Qualifications

• High School education.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Familiarity with reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Benefits

This temporary position offers a competitive pay range of $30.00 - $35.00 per hour. There is around 0% travel time required.

• Desired skills and experience: Construction Estimator with 3+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating, bid preparation, cost analysis, and quantity takeoffs.
• Skilled in reviewing blueprints, preparing accurate project estimates, coordinating with subcontractors and vendors, and supporting project teams throughout the bidding process.
• Proficient in Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Microsoft Excel, and construction estimating software.
• Strong attention to detail, project management abilities, and a proven track record of delivering accurate estimates in fast-paced construction environments.
