Estimator

Tesla’s Collision Repair Program is looking for a Collision Estimator to work on one of the most progressive vehicle brands in the world. This position supports the Body Repair Program in all aspects. Join a world-class service team supporting the latest EV technology.

Responsibilities

• Create repair estimates for collision-damaged Tesla Model S, Model X, Model Y, and Model 3 vehicles (technical estimating, no sales estimating).
• Build repair plans in accordance with Tesla-specific repair procedures.
• Direct disassembly technicians on the pace and scope of disassembly to expose all damages up front.
• Communicate with insurance companies to submit claims and billing.
• Direct Collision Technicians to perform repair attempts where Repair vs. Replace is unclear.
• Update customers on vehicle progress.
• Close billing and delivery of the vehicle.

Requirements

• 5+ years of automotive collision damage estimating experience.
• Knowledge of insurance procedures and requirements.
• Proficient with computers and CCC, Audatex, or Mitchell Estimating Software.
• Automotive knowledge/background; willingness to cross-train in career-advancing management roles as needed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent customer service skills.
• I-CAR certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Pay

• Estimator I: $27.31 - $30.40/hour
• Estimator II: $32.15 - $35.54/hour
• Estimator III: $34.93 - $40.59/hour
• Estimator IV: $37.92 - $46.35/hour
• Estimator V: $42.31 - $51.72/hour

Pay includes cash and stock awards plus benefits for all levels. Offer may vary based on market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may include other elements dependent on the position.
