Estimator

About the role

Suburban Drywall is looking for an insulation estimator that would be responsible for evaluating construction plans and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates for insulation projects. This role involves assessing materials, labor, and equipment needs, collaborating with project managers and clients, and ensuring estimates align with budgets and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Understand methods and equipment involved in residential and commercial installations
• Utilize Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and PlanSwift
• Understand building codes and R-values
• Read construction documents
• Attend all safety meetings and be safety-minded at all times
• Attend job site meetings
• Contract negotiation and review
• Estimate residential and commercial projects
• Proposal reviews
• Track and follow up on all estimates
• Maintain inventory spreadsheets
• Help with inventory and other related duties as assigned

Required Skills/abilities

• Ability to use Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Experience with estimating
• Knowledge of building codes
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Time management skills

Education And Experience

A high school diploma is required, and the ideal candidate will have residential and commercial experience.
