Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for design and construction phases of projects
- Cookordinate with engineers, architects, consultants, and contractors to develop comprehensive project cost data
- Develop and review quantity take-offs, cost analyses, and pricing evaluations
- Review estimates prepared by consultants and provide recommendations on accuracy and feasibility
- Supervise and review the work of junior estimators and support staff
- Analyze contract documents, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate cost projections
- Support evaluation of contract changes and change order pricing
- Perform related duties as required
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related field
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in construction cost estimating
- At least 5 years of experience in estimating within architectural, electrical, mechanical, or plumbing disciplines
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and cost controls
- Experience reviewing technical documents, drawings, and specifications
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and manage complex estimating tasks
Pay
Expected salary range is $95,000 – $140,000 annually. Actual compensation will be dependent on the individual’s qualifications, skills, experience, and physical work location.
