Job Roles And Responsibilities Review proposal specifications and construction drawings to determine project scope and estimating requirements.Prepare electrical cost estimates by calculating detailed quantity takeoffs.Evaluate construction materials, methods, tools, and equipment relevant to electrical projects.Collaborate with estimators from other disciplines and electrical project managers.Support other departments and project personnel as required.Review design alternatives and recommend solutions based on cost, quality, schedule, and material availability.Maintain organized estimating files, including calculations, takeoff quantities, current pricing lists, and supporting documents.Ensure estimates are accurate, complete, and submitted within established deadlines.Apply problem-solving skills and resourcefulness to resolve estimating challenges.Work independently and collaboratively to complete estimating assignments.Maintain dependable, consistent, diligent, and thorough work practices.Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications And Certifications High School Diploma or GED required.Electrical estimating experience preferred.Journeyman Electrician license is a plus.Knowledge of electrical construction materials, methods, and tools.Intermediate mathematical skills.Ability to review and interpret construction drawings and specifications.Experience performing electrical quantity takeoffs and preparing cost estimates.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Experience with assembly-based estimating software.Accubid experience preferred.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to manage estimating tasks accurately and meet deadlines.Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
