Estimator

About the role

JK Concepts is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will develop accurate and competitive estimates for commercial projects, ensuring all bids are thorough, timely, and aligned with project requirements. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Project Management, Engineering, and Operations teams to support successful project execution from preconstruction through completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and strategic project bids, including cost analysis, material alternatives, and recommendations
• Review project documents and specifications to ensure accurate scope interpretation
• Communicate with clients, architects, and general contractors to clarify project details
• Identify and document discrepancies, errors, or omissions in bid documents
• Evaluate suppliers, subcontractors, and vendor proposals
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment throughout the estimating process
• Manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of estimating experience in a manufacturing or commercial construction environment preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred
• Knowledge of custom fabrication or millwork is a plus
• Experience with Innergy software is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and architectural drawings
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
