Estimator

Responsibilities

• Prepare proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and/or tour jobs sites to confirm requisite take-offs.
• Prepare estimates by calculating complete take-off of scope of work using computerized estimating software.
• Maintains database of project history and results.
• Ensures accuracy and integrity of system software, providing all users with updated information.
• Develops conceptual plan and specification bid procedures and standards to improve consistency and efficiency of the estimating process.
• Develops successful client relationships, marketing company products and services.
• Solicits bid schedules from general contractors.

Requirements

• 3-5 years estimating experience in HVAC, Sheet Metal, and Piping
• Working knowledge of multiple disciplines, estimating techniques and cost control
• Proficiency with computerized estimating software and ability to interpret computerized cost data and systems
• Ability to perform detailed work and successfully meet deadlines
• Associate's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management or Technical Training Program Completion
