Estimator

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate and competitive cost estimates for typical projects.
• Support senior estimators on large scale and complex projects.
• Follow up with the client and ensure the fulfillment of the proposal.
• Review plans and specifications.
• Perform quantity take-offs.
• Evaluate and review geotechnical information.
• Compile relevant documents and data.
• Use HCSS for cost estimating (training will be provided if not proficient).
• Prepare internal bid review documents.
• Prepare bid proposals.
• Participate in client meetings as needed.
• Collaborate with internal operations, engineering and project management to ensure bids develop into successful projects.

Qualifications

• A BS Degree in Construction Management or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Well organized, self-motivated, reliable, detail-oriented, and possess excellent interpersonal & customer relations skills.
• Excellent computer skills and written & verbal communication skills.

Requirements

• Plan reading, comprehension and take-off.
• Sound technical knowledge.
• Problem-solving abilities utilizing outside-the-box thinking.
• Commercial instincts.
• Get-it-done attitude.
• Ability to meet fast-paced and dynamic schedules and deadlines.
• Intermittent travel for pre-bid and client meetings and site visits.

Pay

Salary Range: $75,000 - $95,000 per year
