Responsibilities

• Prepare full conceptual, budget, and hard‑bid estimates
• Lead subcontractor buyout and scope reviews
• Analyze drawings/specs to identify cost drivers and value‑engineering opportunities
• Build and maintain relationships with subs, vendors, and design teams
• Partner with project managers on constructability and project handoff
• Track market pricing trends across labor and materials

Qualifications

• 5+ years in commercial construction estimating/preconstruction
• Comfort across multiple project types (not siloed to one sector)
• Strong command of takeoff software (On‑Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, or similar)
• Sharp communicator — internally and with clients
• St. Louis market knowledge a plus

Pay

Salary: $120,000 – $150,000 per year
