We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estimator to join our team in a hybrid role. This position is integral to our business operations and plays a key role in the successful execution of our commercial landscaping projects.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret complex construction drawings and specifications to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Prepare detailed project proposals and bids for submission to clients.
- Evaluate commercial construction costs and conduct risk analysis.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to gather pricing information.
- Manage the bidding process, including the preparation of detailed take-offs and cost estimates.
- Track and manage project deadlines to ensure timely completion of estimates.
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy of estimates.
- Participate in project meetings and provide updates on estimate progress.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in cost estimating techniques.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in specialty contracting.
- Proficient in reading and understanding complex construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction costs and principles.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Proficiency in using estimating software and advanced Excel skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
