Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Aid in preparing accurate project estimates and quotations.
- Review blueprints, drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Perform basic material takeoffs and quantity calculations.
- Support the estimating team by gathering pricing information from vendors and suppliers.
- Calculate labor, material, freight, and transportation costs.
- Organize and maintain estimating files, spreadsheets, and project documentation.
- Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Project Management teams to support project bids and proposals.
- Track Invitations to Bid (ITBs) and manage project opportunities.
- Address basic discrepancies through information collection and review.
- Learn about company products, manufacturing processes, and estimating procedures.
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail while handling multiple tasks.
Qualifications
- A preference for an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience in estimating, manufacturing, construction, or office settings is beneficial but not mandatory.
- A strong focus on attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic mathematical and analytical abilities.
- An advantage in reading and understanding blueprints.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
- The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting and meet deadlines.
- A willingness to learn and develop within the organization.
