About the role

For over 40 years, Himmel’s Architectural Door and Hardware has provided quality products and services in the commercial door and architectural specialties industry. Himmel’s is a growing organization with locations in New Orleans, Prairieville, the Dallas area, Houston, and the Nashville area. We pride ourselves as the door-opening experts, not simply a construction material supplier. Our family-owned and operated company is currently seeking an Estimator to join our team at our Mt. Juliet, TN location! The Estimating Department is the lifeline of our growing business.

Responsibilities

• Perform take-offs, identify relevant drawings and details, and review specifications.
• Identify door and hardware products that give us a competitive advantage while still meeting project requirements.
• Communicate and collaborate efficiently with customers, vendors, and architects to ensure we provide the best solution for the project's needs.
• Accurately input door, frame, and hardware info into estimating software (Comsense).
• Provide a clear and precise proposal to the customer.
• Follow up on all bids to ensure the customer is happy with the scope and price.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Excellent oral & written communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook & Bluebeam.
• Excellent mathematical aptitude & problem-solving skills.
• Ability to perform effectively in an advanced, fast-paced environment, both individually and as part of a team.
• Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic, positive and helpful demeanor, and excellent customer service skills.
• Must pass drug and alcohol screening and successfully complete random screens.

Qualifications

• Preferred experience reading plans & specifications.
• Experience using industry-specific estimating software (Comsense or Pro-tech).
• Familiar with the construction industry.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Pay

Salary: From $65,000.00 per year (plus competitive compensation and bonuses).

Schedule

Monday–Thursday, 7 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; Friday, 7 a.m.–3:30 p.m.; occasional overtime required.
