About the role
The Estimator at Rodgers Wade works in a fast-paced, team-driven environment producing custom millwork, casework, fixtures, and displays for leading global brands.
Responsibilities
- Reviews data to determine material and labor requirements and prepares itemized lists.
- Computes cost factors and prepares estimates used for management purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work; preparing bids; selecting vendors or subcontractors; and determining cost effectiveness.
- Counsels with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- Interfaces with other individuals in the organization to obtain support and commitment to the cost estimates.
- Organizes and manages a centralized cost estimating database and a formal process to support cost estimating to ensure historical data is utilized.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as an Estimator or in a similar role (construction, manufacturing, or retail environments a plus).
- Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and attention to detail.
- Experience interfacing with cross-functional teams and external clients.
Qualifications
- Self-motivated professional with at least 3 years of experience as an Estimator or in a related field.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
Skills
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Skilled in analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation.
- Proficient in managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.
- Experienced in consulting with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates.
- Capable of interfacing with cross-functional teams and external clients.
