About the role

This role is for an estimator opportunity at a heavy civil mass excavation company based in the Kansas City area. The company is known for its high-quality work and long-term stability, self-performing mass earthwork and site packages, and related civil scopes. They are currently seeking an estimator who can take ownership of detailed takeoffs, earthwork and utility estimating, production analysis, bid preparation, sub/vendor pricing, and supporting operations on awarded projects. The ideal candidate should have experience estimating and managing earthwork and site projects.

Responsibilities

• Taking ownership of detailed takeoffs, earthwork, and utility estimating
• Conducting production analysis
• Bid preparation
• Sub/vendor pricing
• Serving as a support for operations on awarded projects
• Managing and expanding into a management position

Requirements

The successful candidate will have a strong background in estimating and managing earthwork and site projects. Experience in the Kansas City area is preferred.

Qualifications

While not specified, candidates should have relevant experience and education in construction or engineering.

Skills

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software is also required.
