Estimator

About the role

The estimator position provides customer proposals in accordance with the specifications provided and industry standards, while meeting company timelines and profitability objectives.

Responsibilities

• Review customer inquiries for quotes from both commercial and technical perspectives.
• Review Vendor Documentation Requirements (VDR) and customer specifications.
• Prepare proposals in a timely manner to meet customer specifications.
• Facilitate customer requests and changes regarding scope, delivery, and commercial aspects.
• Follow up on proposals prepared to evaluate effectiveness and success.
• Establish new customer relationships through strategic networking activities.
• Continuously track projects from inception to successful completion.
• Collaborate with purchasing, engineering, and manufacturing departments.
• Act as customer liaison during project development.
• Establish and maintain vendor and customer relationships.
• Perform analytical review of all closed projects/proposals for accuracy and profitability.
• Comply with all Feldmeier safety and Company policies and Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.

Requirements

• 2-year degree or equivalent sales experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Willingness to travel.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or finance.
• Background in engineering or manufacturing.

Physical Requirements

• Required to sit, stand, and walk for up to 8 hours per day.
• Continuous use of the hand, arm, and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, telephone, and other office equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to communicate professionally, in written and oral communications.
• Ability to work in a stressful, high-output environment.

Pay

$63,000.00 – $83,615.50 per year.
