Estimator
About the Role
Develop pricing in accordance with the scope, specifications, and customer special requirements for each bid invitation assigned. Once a job has been awarded, participate in a “hand-over” meeting with the assigned Project Manager and Estimating Manager to ensure understanding of the work to be performed as it was bid. Assist in “pre-job” meetings with relevant personnel and support the Projects Administrator with budget entry into Sage Contractor. Reconcile bid drawings to AFC drawings, formulate change orders, and review with the Estimating Manager before submission to the customer. Attend bid showings as required.
Responsibilities
- Develop accurate pricing for bid invitations based on scope, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Participate in hand-over meetings with Project Managers and Estimating Managers after job award.
- Attend pre-job meetings with Project Managers, Superintendents, Operations Managers, Division Managers, and other pertinent personnel.
- Assist with budget entry into Sage Contractor as needed.
- Reconcile bid drawings to AFC drawings and formulate change orders for review.
- Attend bid showings as required.

Requirements
- At least 5 years of Project Management or Estimating experience in a construction-related business.
- Bachelor’s technical degree required—preferably in Construction Management and/or Engineering.
- Five years minimum cost estimating experience in marine construction, pipeline construction, pipeline removal, bulkhead construction (wood and steel), platform removal, decommissioning, dredging, and rock pad installation.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to work both in groups and individually to meet goals and develop strong working relationships with internal and external customers and team members.
