Responsibilities

• Internal
  • Prepare consistently accurate, detailed, quantity surveys.
  • Identify, research and obtain relevant information, through independent research, related to items for which they are tasked with quantifying or soliciting subcontractor proposals.
  • Independently develop complete project cost estimate package for projects in a range up to $5m, depending on complexity.
• Owner / Architect
  • Attend preconstruction meetings to learn project information and gain exposure to external customer interactions.
• Subcontractor
  • Awareness of the local subcontractor community and ability to understand and differentiate capabilities of the subcontractors being solicited for proposals.
  • Able to discuss project scope clearly and effectively during the subcontractor solicitation process.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree within the construction field.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, estimating software (Timberline or similar), and scheduling software (Primavera or similar).
• Careful attention to detail and resourcefulness in acquiring project specific information.
• Demonstrates a strong work ethic.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrates ability to effectively manage multiple tasks under differing deadlines.
• Able to work flexible hours as needed or required by project or proposal deadlines.

• Capable of traversing over construction-type terrain when under development; moving through the construction site and the materials in place for use on the site; climbing ladders and temporary stairways; conducting visual inspections of quality of construction and materials being used in construction.
• Conduct jobsite walks to ensure successful project completion.
• Conduct jobsite walks to identify and eliminate safety hazards.

• BNB believes in collaboration, team building, and a strong supervisor/employee relationship. To accomplish this, the duties of this role are not performed in a remote capacity, and we expect that all employees will complete work in an office/job site setting.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
• The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at the job site.
• The noise level in the work environment and job site can be loud.
• This position is performed in outside weather conditions.
