Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead.
• Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid to create and manage estimates effectively.
• Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for accurate pricing.
• Conduct negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
• Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle of construction to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
• Review contracts and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Provide support during the bidding process by preparing bid documents and presenting estimates to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is required.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, cost control measures, and project management principles.
• Familiarity with contracts and negotiation techniques is essential.
• Previous experience working on construction sites is preferred to enhance understanding of practical applications.
• Proficiency in using estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all estimates provided.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in construction estimating or similar roles.
