Estimator
Responsibilities
- Review customer drawings and specifications to determine appropriate materials and production methods.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates that include materials, labor, and outside services.
- Generate and send customer quotes within a 48-hour turnaround time.
- Work closely with customers to answer questions, clarify requirements, and provide status updates on quotes.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Support quality and operations teams by interpreting blueprints and drawings when needed.
- Enter and maintain estimate and quote data accurately in Excel, ERP, and related systems.
- Use measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers as needed to verify dimensions and ensure accurate estimates.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts related to estimating processes and tools.
Essential Skills
- Experience in manufacturing, estimating, or a related field preferred.
- Strong Excel skills, including data entry and organization of estimate and quote information.
- Proficiency in general computer operation and use of Google Suite.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Solid math skills and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills and a customer service mindset.
- Experience working with RFQs (Requests for Quote).
- Experience supporting cross-functional teams such as production, engineering, quality, and operations.
- Comfort working with multiple quotes and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in calculations and documentation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Manufacturing environment is beneficial.
- Experience using ERP systems, including familiarity with E2 System.
- Experience using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oshkosh, WI.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $29.00/hr.
