Estimator

Responsibilities

• Review customer drawings and specifications to determine appropriate materials and production methods.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates that include materials, labor, and outside services.
• Generate and send customer quotes within a 48-hour turnaround time.
• Work closely with customers to answer questions, clarify requirements, and provide status updates on quotes.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Support quality and operations teams by interpreting blueprints and drawings when needed.
• Enter and maintain estimate and quote data accurately in Excel, ERP, and related systems.
• Use measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers as needed to verify dimensions and ensure accurate estimates.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts related to estimating processes and tools.

Essential Skills

• Experience in manufacturing, estimating, or a related field preferred.
• Strong Excel skills, including data entry and organization of estimate and quote information.
• Proficiency in general computer operation and use of Google Suite.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Solid math skills and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills and a customer service mindset.
• Experience working with RFQs (Requests for Quote).
• Experience supporting cross-functional teams such as production, engineering, quality, and operations.
• Comfort working with multiple quotes and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in calculations and documentation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Manufacturing environment is beneficial.
• Experience using ERP systems, including familiarity with E2 System.
• Experience using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oshkosh, WI.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $29.00/hr.
