Estimating Manager (Commercial Construction, NYC)
About the role
We are currently working with a leading investor developer in NYC who are in the market to attract and bring into the New York office an experienced senior level Estimator who can take on a leadership role within the firm.
You will be hired to lead and direct on cost estimating and play an integral role on their future major high end commercial real estate projects, working with the wider preconstruction team and office heads.
The role would suit someone who is currently in a senior level estimating role for a similar NYC commercial real estate investor / developer, and looking to make a move to a new firm who may be able to offer more prestigious projects to work on and to see your responsibilities and income widen.
You will act as the focal point within the firm as the lead on all estimating matters, providing insight and input into standards, methods, and future strategy. Setting the benchmark for others and minimising risks.
You will be involved with quantity take-offs, working on cost estimates, looking to help limit financial risks and improve on forecasting.
About you
- Relevant bachelor's degree
- Ideally educated with a Master within a relevant field
- Solid experience of working at a senior level within cost estimating in the build and construction sector
- Experience of working in the commercial residential space
- Knowledge of construction means and methods, procurement strategies, and project delivery models
- Advanced level user of MS Excel
- Experience using Estimating packages
Pay
$200,000 - $250,000 per annum
