Project Manager / Estimator - Commercial Construction

About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Project Manager / Estimator to join our growing commercial construction team in Milwaukee. This role is responsible for both preconstruction estimating and full-cycle project management, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

The role includes two main areas of focus: Estimating / Preconstruction and Project Management.

Estimating / Preconstruction duties include:

• Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for commercial projects
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids
• Develop scopes of work and bid packages
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements
• Assist in value engineering and budgeting efforts

Project Management duties include:

• Oversee projects from award through closeout
• Develop and manage project schedules and budgets
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field staff
• Lead client and internal project meetings
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards

Qualifications

• 3-10+ years of experience in commercial construction (GC experience preferred)
• Strong estimating and project management skills
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents
• Proficiency in estimating and project management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Sage, or similar)
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
