ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide oversight of the estimating team and assigns projects based on skill and workload.
- Establishes processes to perform analysis of project requirements, plans, and specifications to identify labor, material, equipment, and service requirements.
- Implements a workflow and system for scheduling and processing estimate requests and communicating with stakeholders.
- Works cross-functionally to ensure customer expectations are met and estimating process supports business objectives.
- Consistently seeks out process and system improvements to gain efficiency and reduce operating costs.
- Ensures the team is properly trained on any processes and current regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Hightly proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as contracts, correspondence, bills of materials, drawings, and procedure manuals.
- Strong Excel skills including the ability to interpret complex formulas.
- Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal.
Education And Experience
- 5+ years of estimating experience in construction industry, metal buildings experience highly preferred.
- Associate’s degree in engineering or other related field.
- 1-3 years of supervisory experience required.
