Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and develop the estimating team, providing direction, coaching, and performance feedbackReview and approve estimates, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project requirementsDevelop, implement, and maintain standardized estimating processes, tools, and best practicesCollaborate with operations, engineering, procurement, project management, and business development to gather inputs and validate assumptionsAnalyze drawings, specifications, and project scope to prepare detailed cost breakdownsConduct risk assessments and identify cost drivers, contingencies, and value‑engineering opportunitiesManage the estimating pipeline and workload to ensure on‑time delivery of proposalsMaintain up‑to‑date knowledge of materials, labor rates, subcontractor pricing, and industry trendsOversee subcontractor and vendor solicitations for pricing; build and maintain strong supplier relationshipsSupport bid strategy, pricing decisions, and proposal presentationsTrack estimate accuracy and continuously improve forecasting and cost‑model performanceSupport project handoff to operations to ensure a smooth transition and alignment on budget assumptionsProvide estimating expertise in civil, concrete, structural, and vertical construction scopes.Other reasonable directives, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice. Education, Experience And Requirements Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).Minimum of 10 years of experience in estimating, cost analysis, or related functions within the construction, defense, or energy sectors (preferred).Minimum of 10 years of construction experience, including civil, concrete, structural, and vertical construction (preferred).Experience with DOE and DoD contracts is (required).Prior leadership or team-lead experience (preferred).Experience preparing technical writing deliverables, including Basis of Estimate documentation, proposal narratives, and methodology statements.Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software such as Bluebeam, AGTEK, CAD, PlanSwift, or similar (preferred).Must receive a satisfactory pre-hire drug screen and background check.Must possess a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.Must be able to meet the physical requirements.
