Estate Planning Paralegal
Berlin Patten Ebling, PLLC · Tampa, FL · 4 days ago
Legal$36–$48/hrFull-time
Why this role
This isn't a typical paralegal position. At BPE, senior paralegals draft sophisticated trust and estate planning documents, own their case files, and work shoulder-to-shoulder with attorneys on complex matters. We pay well above market because we hire paralegals who can operate like one — and we give them the autonomy to do it.
What You'll Do
- Draft trusts, wills, and advanced estate planning documents for attorney review.
- Manage your own case files, deadlines, and docketing from intake through execution.
- Communicate directly with clients to gather information and keep them informed.
- Handle e-filing, notarization, scheduling, and the administrative work that keeps matters moving.
- Participate in weekly case management meetings and collaborate closely with attorneys and support staff.
What We're Looking For
- You bring 5+ years of Florida estate planning experience and a track record of drafting trusts independently — not just assembling forms.
- You're highly organized, communicate clearly, and manage your time without needing to be chased.
- You're proficient with Wealth Counsel and/or Westlaw Form Builder, and comfortable in Clio Manage or similar case management platforms.
- Strongly preferred: Paralegal certification or advanced education, and bilingual (English/Spanish) ability.
What We Offer
- $36.00–$48.00/hour, commensurate with experience
- Health insurance, retirement plan, and generous PTO
- Paid holidays and CLE/training support
- Annual all-expenses-paid firm trip (post-eligibility)
- A collaborative, multi-office Florida firm with a genuine commitment to work-life balance
