Estate Planning Attorney

Responsibilities

• Develop estate planning instruments, including trusts, wills, and powers of attorney, tailored to client needs and legal requirements.
• Prepare and submit pleadings, petitions, and supporting materials for probate proceedings in the appropriate courts.
• Compose clear written communications related to probate, trust administration, and estate planning matters for clients, courts, and third parties.
• Assemble and file documents required by county offices, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timely submission.
• Draft real property transfer documents, such as deeds, affidavits, and related disclosure forms, in support of estate and trust matters.
• Manage legal documentation and case materials through routine administrative support, including scanning, copying, and maintaining organized file records.
• Aid in trust and estate administration tasks by tracking required documentation and helping move matters forward efficiently.

Requirements

• Active license to practice law and the ability to work in an attorney capacity on estate-related matters.
• Demonstrated experience in estate planning, probate, and estate administration.
• Working knowledge of trust administration processes and trust accounting principles.
• Ability to prepare legal motions, briefs, and other court-ready documents with strong attention to detail.
• Familiarity with probate law, conservatorships, and related court procedures.
• Experience handling discovery or civil litigation tasks is valued.
• Strong written communication and organizational skills for managing multiple active matters.
