About the role
Our client is a well-known, boutique Maryland-based estate-planning law firm.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive legal advice on a wide range of estate-planning matters including wills, probate, gifting, and tax planning.
- Draft, review, and amend legal documents related to estate planning.
- Collaborate with clients to develop effective estate plans that meet their long-term goals.
- Stay abreast of current trends and changes in estate-planning laws and regulations.
- Conduct thorough research to support legal proceedings and advise clients accordingly.
- Represent clients in probate court and handle estate-administration processes.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service.
- Collaborate with other attorneys in the firm to ensure a comprehensive service to all clients.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active member of the Maryland State Bar; Virginia and District of Columbia bars a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in estate-planning law.
- Strong knowledge of laws and regulations related to wills, probate, gifting, and tax planning.
- Exceptional research, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Pay
$120,000 – $185,000 per year
