Independent instructional contractor opportunities to provide on-site esports enrichment for K–12 students at partner schools. Assignments vary by school, grade level, schedule, games, technology, and program objectives.

About the role

Concorde Education seeks independent contractors to deliver engaging, age-appropriate esports instruction. Contractors may choose to accept or decline available opportunities. Concorde may provide curriculum guidance, lesson-plan suggestions, instructional resources, league information, or program objectives; contractors adapt instruction within the assignment scope and site requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and facilitate esports sessions tailored to student age and experience levels.
  • Teach teamwork, communication, strategy, digital citizenship, and healthy competitive gaming through structured instruction and gameplay.
  • Adapt instruction based on site requirements, available technology, approved games, and program objectives.
  • Support student development in game knowledge, teamwork, leadership, decision-making, and competitive skills via practices, scrimmages, reviews, and tournaments.
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, inclusive, and age-appropriate learning environment.
  • Communicate assignment-related needs or significant concerns with Concorde and school staff.
  • Complete a brief session-completion form after each scheduled session.
  • Follow all applicable site safety, visitor, technology, emergency, student-protection, and acceptable-use procedures.

Example program topics

  • Team communication, collaboration, and leadership.
  • Game strategy, positioning, mechanics, and decision-making.
  • Sportsmanship, digital citizenship, and responsible online behavior.
  • Practice planning, match preparation, and tournament fundamentals.
  • Gameplay review, identifying strengths and areas for improvement, and constructive feedback.
  • Healthy gaming habits, wellness, time management, and balance.
  • Introductory broadcasting, shoutcasting, streaming, or video review (where applicable).
  • Competitive play using school-approved titles such as Rocket League, Super Smash Bros., Valorant, League of Legends, Overwatch, Apex Legends, or other age-appropriate games.

Requirements

  • At least 60 college credits, where required by the assignment or site.
  • Experience coaching, competing in, or leading organized esports programs or competitive gaming communities.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in one or more popular esports titles appropriate for the assigned program.
  • Experience teaching, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, or leading activities with school-age students.
  • Strong communication, organization, and classroom or team facilitation skills.
  • Availability to provide services for the accepted assignment schedule and communicate schedule issues promptly.
  • Familiarity with gameplay analysis, team development, tournament organization, streaming platforms, replay review, or related esports technologies is preferred.

Preferred backgrounds include esports coaches, educators, collegiate esports players, competitive gamers, youth program leaders, technology instructors, content creators, streamers, game analysts, and others with relevant instructional or competitive gaming experience.

Materials and resources

Assignments may utilize school-provided computers, gaming consoles, peripherals, approved game licenses, curriculum resources, lesson plans, replay software, streaming tools, and other instructional materials. Contractors may use their own instructional methods and materials when appropriate, safe, age-appropriate, lawful, and consistent with the assignment scope and site requirements. Purchases requiring reimbursement must be approved in writing by Concorde before they are incurred.

Pay

Compensation varies by assignment and agreed contractor terms. Many opportunities pay $50+ per completed instructional service hour with students. Contractors may propose their desired compensation rate when applying; Concorde may accept, decline, or counteroffer based on the assignment budget. Payment is generally made by direct deposit on the fifteenth day of the month following the month in which services were completed.
