ESPN West Palm Part-Time Producer & Reporter
Role Overview
ESPN West Palm Radio is seeking a part-time Producer & Reporter to join their team. The role involves producing live and syndicated programming, supporting hosts, and covering community stories. The position requires a flexible schedule with evening and weekend shifts.
Responsibilities
- Work with hosts on content planning and execution
- Support talent on show production and log fulfillment
- Collaborate with other show producers on news and ideas
- Work with marketing/promotions on contests and sponsorships
- Auxiliary roles may include assisting engineers, hosting, filling-in, or playing-by-play responsibilities
- Source potential contributors, guests, and interviewees
- Create and implement production elements such as bumpers, liners, audio drops, sound effects, and other show materials
- Post and promote on-air content across social media platforms
- Edit audio cuts and full hours of programming for podcasting
- Convert text, graphics, video, and audio files for digital platforms
- Respond to audience feedback and refer matters to other departments as needed
- Use editing software for production purposes
- Shoot, edit, and write stories
- Find and cover community stories that represent Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast
- Build relationships in the community to support storytelling and the team
Requirements
- Passion for South Florida sports and high school athletics
- Flexible schedule with evening and weekend shifts
- Valid driver's license
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness to accept and provide feedback
