About the role

Our clients include individual savers, pension scheme members, and global institutions, who invest alongside L&G’s own balance sheet. The Securitized Research Analyst role within LGIM America provides high-level support to the Chicago-based US Fixed Income Team and its management of all securitized product investments.
The Research Analyst will deliver fundamental credit analysis to support investment decisions in Esoteric/Commercial ABS and other structured/securitized product sectors. The role requires a strong understanding of the securitized industry and working knowledge of issuers and collateral types active in these markets. The Analyst will engage with company management teams, rating agencies, and investment bank syndicate/research teams to form opinions and analysis on new and existing opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Provide fundamental credit analysis for Esoteric/Commercial ABS and other structured/securitized product sectors.
- Liaise with company management teams, rating agencies, and investment bank syndicate/research teams to evaluate opportunities.
- Focus primarily on Esoteric/Commercial ABS sectors while supporting analysis in other Securitized sub-sectors as needed.
- Utilize tools such as Intex, Bloomberg, Excel, and PowerPoint for research and modeling.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of applicable ABS sector experience.
- Advanced degree required.
- Experience analyzing ABS sectors including aircraft, digital infrastructure (datacenter & fiber), cell towers, containers, commercial/solar PACE, legal settlements, railcars, timeshare, and whole business.
- Strong Intex, Bloomberg, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
- ABS modeling experience.
- Working knowledge of all securitized products.
- Prior research experience in commercial ABS sectors preferred.
