About the role

The Securitized Research Analyst role within LGIM America provides high-level support to the Chicago-based US Fixed Income Team, focusing on all securitized product investments. The Analyst will deliver fundamental credit analysis to guide investment decisions in Esoteric/Commercial ABS and other structured/securitized product sectors. The role requires a strong understanding of the securitized industry and proficiency with issuers and collateral types in these markets.

The Research Analyst will engage with company management teams, rating agencies, and investment bank syndicate/research teams to analyze new and existing opportunities. The successful candidate will primarily focus on Esoteric/Commercial ABS sectors but will also support analysis in other Securitized sub-sectors as the team expands.

Responsibilities

  • Provide fundamental credit analysis to support investment decisions in Esoteric/Commercial ABS and other structured/securitized product sectors.
  • Liaise with company management teams, rating agencies, and investment bank syndicate/research teams to form opinions and analysis on opportunities.
  • Support analysis in other Securitized sub-sectors as internal efforts expand.
  • Demonstrate strong ABS research knowledge, with a focus on Esoteric/Commercial ABS.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of applicable ABS sector experience.
  • Advanced degree required.
  • Proficiency in ABS research/analysis and organizational skills.
  • Experience analyzing ABS sectors including aircraft, digital infrastructure (datacenter & fiber), cell towers, containers, commercial/solar PACE, legal settlements, railcars, timeshare, and whole business.
  • Ability to take ownership of assigned responsibilities independently and accurately.
  • Strong skills in Intex, Bloomberg, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • ABS modeling experience required.
  • Working knowledge of all securitized products.
  • Prior research experience analyzing commercial ABS sectors preferred.
