ESO Further Educational Grant Recipients for 2025

The European School of Oncology has awarded grants to several graduates for further educational opportunities:
- Ahmed Ramadan Eldesoky, an Egyptian oncologist, will attend the ESMO Gastrointestinal Cancers Congress 2025. His research focuses on DNA mismatch repair genes in lung cancer.
- Maria Gemelli, an Italian medical researcher, will attend the European Lung Cancer Congress 2025. Her research involves resistance mechanisms to ALK inhibitors in NSCLC.
- Yanislav Iliev, a Bulgarian medical professional, will attend the 2025 Annual Congress of the European Association for Cancer Research. He has a background in arm wrestling and has participated in competitions.
- Malgorzata Pieniazek, a Polish medical professional, will attend the SIOG Annual Conference 2025. Her focus is on Merkel Cell Carcinoma, Melanoma, and Neuroendocrine Tumors.
- Marina Puchinskaya, a Belarusian oncologist, will attend the 25th Workshop on Methods in Clinical Cancer Research. She has a PhD in progress and has attended the ESMO-The Christie Virtual Preceptorship on Lung Cancer.
