2026 Extended School Year (ESY) Application

Responsibilities

• Create and lead 45-minute blocks balancing UIC based on MAP data for individual students within each group.
• Arrive early and stay late for post-arrival duties.
• Duty during lunch and bus times.
• Attend and participate in daily and/or weekly meetings with group leaders to discuss students and data.
• Assist students throughout their day, supporting both academically and socially, and implementing specific behavior plans.
• Perform door-to-door responsibilities for assigned groups of students.
• Organize and conduct a 45-minute stretch and play session daily.
• Provide one-on-one support to students as needed.
• Tend to students' needs throughout the day, including but not limited to administering medication as necessary.
• Manage food service tasks, such as distributing meals.

Requirements

• Must be certified for teaching positions.
• Nurses must have current certifications and experience in healthcare.

Qualifications

• Strong educational background and experience working with students with special needs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of MAP data and UIC (Universal Instructional Core).

Skills

• Proficiency in using technology for data management and student tracking.
• Experience in behavior intervention and classroom management.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Pay

• Teacher: $24/hr
• Group Leader: $20/hr
• Movement Leader: $20/hr
• One-on-One Support: $17/hr
• Nurse: $30/hr
• Food Service: Position-specific pay rate.
